Apart from their mad max captain, Delhi could be described as the blue-collared team in IPL – it is made up of hard workers high on utility and low on flash value. Then there's Glen McGrath, arguably the best pace bowler of the era, and Asif, who is being looked upon as McGrath's successor.
McGrath wasn't picked by any team during the first auction - a surprise, and you could trust the Australian to prove his critics wrong.
There also are lots of homegrown heroes with appreciable domestic records.
